Keyfax was founded in 1994 by Julian Colbeck, a professional keyboardist with recording and touring credits ranging from musical theater in Hollywood, to Yes, Steve Hackett, and Alan Parsons.

From the earliest days, Keyfax has sought out and recorded world-class musicians for all of its music content work whether they are ‘famous names’ or simply highly skilled specialists.

Keyfax does not focus on any one style of music; a broad range of composers and players enabling the company to bring its recording and post production skills to bear on anything from downtempo dance to classical.

In addition to the MIDI Sample libraries Keyfax also produces original music styles, demo songs, and mood libraries. Keyfax compositions have been featured in products by:
