Product Description

2010-released DTX electronic kit featuring one of the stylish new 10-inch ‘mesh’ Textured Cellular Silicone (TCS) DTX-pads for the snare.

Cost-effective and compact kit, in the mould of the DTXPLORER, released in 2010 that introduces Yamaha’s revolutionary Textured Cellular Silicone head for the snare pad. DTX550K is centered on the Snare, Hi-Hat and Ride Cymbal, three of the core components of any drum kit. The frame is the RS85 rack system, both strong and compact that comes equipped with a ball clamp that allows the Snare pad to be set to exactly the right angle.

Texture Cellular Silicone pads

TCS offers a unique stick response for the snare pad (it is also used on tom pads, which are not part of this particular kit) in order to create the natural feeling when you use the pads in a drum set. This level of playability has been created with drummers who are used to playing on acoustic drums in mind. The sensitivity of it has dramatically increased by employing a floating design, which also helps reduce pad noise. Quiet but strong. The new pads have undergone rigorous testing by Yamaha’s famed roster of drum artists.

A great hi-hat is a crucial part of any drum kit. This kit uses the RHH135 moving-type hi-hat that lets you play the most nuanced of passages with precision and clarity. The hat comes with the HS650A Hi-Hat stand, which is Footsplash-capable. The hi-hat itself is an integrated pad and controller that provides a natural feel when performing. Its 2-zone construction features separate pad and edge zones, allowing you to play in a broad range of styles. The h-hat is (acoustically!) extremely quiet.

DTX500 Trigger Module / Sounds

Contained within the compact body of the module DTX500 are 427 carefully chosen sounds, created by a tone generator that handles both subtly nuanced Snare-work and dynamic, powerful drum strokes with ease. 50 preset drum kits have been carefully chosen to cover a diverse range of genres, including rock, funk, jazz, reggae, and Latin. You can stores up to 20 original drum kits.

Practice Features

The DTX500 offers a suite of comprehensive training functions to help you improve your drumming. There are 63 internal practice tunes in a wide range of styles and you can mute the drum parts and simply play along with the track as if you were live on stage. An AUX IN jack lets you connect a CD player or an MP3 player to the module for private practice. A high-quality click function lets you customize rhythm and tone settings as much as you like. Finally, Yamaha’s famous groove-check and rhythm-gate functions are available to help you develop your timing. Recording functions let you capture your own performances and listen to them over again to improve your technique.
