Avantone CK-40 Multi-Pattern Stereo FET Microphone

The CK-40 is a multi-pattern stereo FET (transistor) Microphone and is loaded to the gills with features! To begin, CK-40 houses twin large (35mm) center-terminated pressure-gradient transducers stacked on top of one another. This close proximity and orientation allows for accurate stereo imaging and eliminates phase issues common to stereo recording.

Additionally, both capsules have 3 independently switchable polar patterns (cardioid, omni, figure 8) and you can rotate the top capsule in relation to the lower one, allowing for plenty of combinations and all types of recording techniques including several stereo recording options.

CK-40 includes a -10dB pad switch for hotter signals and an 80Hz roll-off switch to kill low frequency signal at the source (pre-EQ) independently on both capsules!

Included with the CK-40 is a stereo splitter box. One single 30’ cable runs from the mic, keeping your studio live space or vocal booth clean and uncluttered with cables. This single 5-pin cable then plugs into the splitter box for individual left and right standard XLR outputs.

The CK-40 is housed in a beautiful red-painted brass body and comes with a shockmount, stereo splitter box with 30 foot 5-pin mic cable, foam wind filter, wooden storage box and aluminum carrying case.
