The newly formed KEYFAX Digital Video Production division is exhibiting on Booth #5908 at Winter NAMM, showcasing a full range of in-house produced and distributed DVD titles.

KEYFAX produced no less than six full length DVDs during 2007, starting with the almost 9-hour 3-DVD set Sound Advice that provides an exhaustive look at sound design and programming based on the Motif platform, through The World Of Motif XS, and DTXPosed! (for Yamaha Corporation), to Making Beats On The MM6, Using Cubase 4 Recording The Band, and Motif XS MasterClass.

Additionally, the DVP division produced numerous web videos including a 20-minute look at the new Yamaha N Series mixers, and Xfactor web video materials.

At Winter NAMM KEYFAX is now making the DVD catalog available the US dealers, and is also looking to set up wider distribution of the range around the world.

If you are a US music instrument or pro audio dealer, an international distributor of software and technology products, or simply an industry visitor who is interested in the products and custom programs the company produces, do stop by.

Winter NAMM runs Jan 17-20 at the Anaheim Convention Center (CA) and is open to the trade only.

Twiddly.Bits
are instrumental parts, loops, licks, grooves, and effects - played by top name musicians, and recorded using alternate MIDI controllers like MIDI drums, MIDI Wind Instruments, & MIDI guitar. Data is saved in SMF format so you can load them into anything that can import a .MID, from Reason, to Cubase SX, to Sonar, to a Yamaha Motif, or a Korg Triton.

What makes Twiddly.Bits unique is that they offer the realism of audio samples with the flexibility of MIDI. And all for a great price.

Sound Advice, sound investment

Everyone needs to be a synth programmer or engineer nowadays. And not just keyboard players, either. Guitarists and songwriters using the Cubase LE that tumbles out of the box along with your mixer or computer interface, drummers with a new DTX e-kit, remix artists running Reason, live DJ/musicians running Live!, videographers running Final Cut Pro or even iMovie. Garage Bandits… the list goes on and on.

Released June 2007, the Sound Advice DVD features almost 9 hours of ‘no parameter left behind’ expertise on analog-style synth programming and digital effects under the guidance of top sound designer Dave Polich.

"All you need to know about oscillators, filters, envelopes, dynamics and effects that will enable you to produce the sound that you are looking for on your synth - totally from scratch," says legendary producer and 2007 GRAMMY nominee Alan Parsons.

And good, original sounds equal good, paying gigs.

DVD produced for Yamaha MW Mixing Studios

Latest in a long line of instructional DVDs for Yamaha products, KEYFAX has produced Getting The Most Out Of Your MW Mixing Studio , a 50-minute look at making music with Yamaha MW10 and 12.

The DVD looks at all the setup procedures for the hardware then shows three completely unique musical applications where the MW, along with the bundled Cubase LE DAW are being used: the recording of a guitar-based rock track from Jimmy Riley, a multi-timbral MIDI recording of an R&B track featuring Charmain Dennison, and finally the creation of music for a surf movie featuring Keyfax's own Andy Miller.

Concluding with a 20-minute explanation of Cubase LE, the DVD is available with current MW10 and 12 sales and retails separately for $14.95.

The MW 10 & 12 are USB Mixers bundled with Cubase LE, offering 10 or 12 mixing channels with stereo USB audio to and from your computer, retailing for $199 and $299 respectively.
